The O-Shot® uses the natural ability of your body’s own platelets to restore vaginal tissues, boost your sex drive, and increase the frequency and quality of orgasms. Gregory Bolton, Jr., MD and his team has years of experience helping women who are unhappy with their sex life, often due to the age-related decline in hormones.
What is the O-Shot®?
The O-Shot, or orgasm shot, is an injection that rejuvenates vaginal tissues and improves orgasms by enhancing your clitoris.* The active ingredient in the O-shot is platelet-rich plasma, which is a rich source of the growth factors your body uses to trigger tissue regeneration.
What is platelet-rich plasma?
Platelet-rich plasma is blood plasma that contains a high concentration of platelets. To make your platelet-rich plasma, Dr. Bolton, Jr. draws a sample of blood and processes it in a centrifuge. The centrifuge separates the platelets from other blood components such as red blood cells and white blood cells. The concentrated platelets are then mixed with plasma to make your O-shot.
How does the O-Shot® work?
After injections of platelet-rich plasma into an area just inside your vagina, platelet-rich plasma’s growth factors stimulate the production of new blood vessels, collagen, and nerves. Although each woman’s experience is different, most patients achieve benefits such as:
Better sexual experience
If you have a low sex drive, infrequent orgasms, or find it hard to orgasm, the O-Shot can enhance two erogenous areas: your clitoris and the Grafenberg spot, better known as the G-spot. After your platelet-rich plasma injection, you’ll gain increased sensitivity and improved response to sexual stimulation, and this, in turn, gives you better orgasms and improves your sex drive.
Relief from painful sex
After menopause, some women develop vaginal dryness and loss of lubrication. As platelets from your O-Shot promote collagen and blood vessel production, your vaginal lining is rejuvenated and sex becomes enjoyable again.
Improvement of urinary incontinence
Even when platelet-rich plasma is injected into your vagina, the growth factors can stimulate new tissue growth in your urinary tract. As these tissues are restored, incontinence caused by loss of estrogen at menopause may improve.
What should I expect during an O-Shot?
A topical numbing cream is applied so you won’t have to worry about discomfort. Then injects your O-Shot into an area just inside your vagina. It takes a little time for new tissues to develop, so it may be weeks before you notice the improvement.
