Hi, I'm Sarah. I am co-founder and owner at Forte Faces in Conshohocken. Upon my completion of the ILM course, I landed my first job at a med spa. I worked there for several years and then decided I wanted to further my career, so I started working side by side with a plastic surgeon. All of that experience over those years led me to opening my own practice. A Pennsylvania School, Teaching in Lancaster
ILM was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Skippack, Pennsylvania. The Lancaster class is that same course with ILM’s own instructors, practitioners who still treat patients and teach on class days. The live models, the 6-student cap, and the Merz, Galderma, Revance, and Revanesse products come with them.
In Lancaster the class meets inside a working medical spa rather than in a hotel meeting room, so you learn injectables in the kind of setting you will practice in. ILM confirms the exact venue in your enrollment materials after you register.
What Happens on Each Day
Day 1 is the Essential Injection Training, and it assumes you have never held a syringe of filler. The morning is facial anatomy, patient safety, indications and contraindications, patient assessment, and product preparation. The afternoon puts your hands on live models: 30 units of neurotoxin and 1 syringe of filler across the glabella, forehead, crow’s feet, marionette lines, and lips.
Day 2 is the Advanced Injection Training: 50 units and 1 syringe for the masseters, platysmal bands, cheeks, jawline, and chin. Each day carries 7.75 CNE credits and ends with its own certificate of completion. Take both days for the full 15.5 credits, or take one.
Where the Lancaster Class Meets
The class meets in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, inside a working medical spa; you receive the address in your enrollment materials. If you live in Lancaster, York, Harrisburg, Hershey, or Lebanon, this is your closest ILM classroom.
For scale: Harrisburg is about 40 miles from Lancaster and roughly 95 from Skippack, and York is about 25 miles from Lancaster and about 90 from Skippack. ILM’s Skippack Med Spa, which carries the most dates, is about 60 miles east of Lancaster, around an hour and a half by car. ILM’s Continuing Nursing Education program is approved by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, so your 15.5 credits are Pennsylvania-approved and earned in a Pennsylvania room. With 6 students, your instructor sees every injection you make and corrects it on the spot. Graduates who want more mentored time can continue in the Aesthetic Apprentice Program.

Graduates of both days receive a complimentary shadow day and complimentary apprenticeship hours at ILM’s Med Spa in Skippack, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles east of Lancaster. They are scheduled after the course as a separate visit.
