What Comes to Boston
Everything that makes the Skippack class work travels with it. You learn from instructors who perform these treatments on their own clients every day, on clinical-grade laser equipment rather than simulators, with live models for all 3 days. Your class is 6 to 8 people, so you never wait for the machine. ILM has been building this curriculum for nearly 20 years.
What does not travel is the building. In Boston you train in hotel conference space that ILM transforms into its laser classroom, not in a med spa. The complimentary shadow day and apprenticeship hours you earn by graduating are held at the Skippack med spa in Pennsylvania, about 300 miles southwest, so plan them as a separate trip. Why It Is 1 Course, Not 5
ILM does not teach laser hair removal on its own. The 3 days in Boston certify you in hair removal plus 4 more modalities. PhotoFacial (IPL) covers melasma, sun damage and age spots. Skin rejuvenation covers texture, pores and collagen with non-ablative lasers. The acne and rosacea module covers both conditions, and fractional resurfacing covers scars and deep wrinkles, ablative and non-ablative. One tuition, one certificate of completion, one set of 24 CNE credits.
You do the theory before you arrive: online modules on laser physics, how laser energy behaves in tissue, and safety and regulatory requirements, which most students finish in 6 to 8 hours. That is why your 3 days in the room are almost all hands-on. From the first morning you are selecting parameters for a real person’s skin type and hair color, firing the laser, and getting corrected in the moment.

Where the Boston Class Meets
The class meets in hotel conference space in Boston that ILM transforms into its laser classroom for the 3 days. ILM brings its clinical-grade lasers and instructors from Skippack, and you practice on live models in a class of 6 to 8.
Boston is ILM’s New England classroom and the closest one for laser students in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. Connecticut students are usually closer to the Manhattan class. ILM’s other laser classrooms are in Skippack, Pittsburgh, Manhattan, and Fairfax.
