What the Hair Removal Module Teaches
The hair removal curriculum is built around what you need to treat real clients safely. You learn how lasers target the follicle, why hair growth cycles set treatment timing, and how to read each client’s skin and hair. You learn the parameter and device choices that keep treatments safe across skin types, and the body-area protocols from the face to legs, underarms, bikini, and back. The consultation skills that turn a first-time client into a repeat client, contraindications, and post-treatment care run throughout.
The same 3 days then carry you through PhotoFacial (IPL), skin rejuvenation, acne and rosacea treatment, and fractional resurfacing. The class meets in hotel conference space in Pittsburgh that ILM transforms into its laser classroom for the 3 days. ILM brings its clinical-grade lasers and instructors from Skippack, and you practice on live models in a class of 6 to 8. It is the Skippack class on the road. Financing is available. The complimentary shadow day and apprenticeship hours are held at ILM’s Skippack med spa, about 290 miles east of Pittsburgh, so plan them as a separate trip. Eligible graduates can also go on to the Aesthetic Apprentice Program.
